Redesigning a recruitment SaaS to match the strength of its technology

About the project
Interviewd is an AI-powered interview platform that runs structured hiring processes across web, WhatsApp, and Telegram. The AI probes candidates in real time, evaluates responses across audio, video, text and file formats, and delivers ranked summaries automatically.
What sets Interviewd apart from video-interview-only competitors is its flexible candidate experience and deeper evaluation process. Candidates use familiar messaging apps without corporate accounts, while recruiters get AI scoring, resume parsing, and structured feedback — all in one platform.

Challenge
Interviewd had a working product with genuine technical depth, but its interface and identity didn't reflect that ambition. The client came to Halo Lab needing a full visual overhaul — a brand that felt striking and acquisition-ready, and a platform UI that could finally match the sophistication of what was running underneath it.

Our process
We built Interviewd's new identity and platform UI in two interconnected tracks — starting with the brand and using it to anchor every design decision that followed.
Branding
The existing look didn’t communicate what the product could do, so we started by building an identity that would set the visual tone across the entire experience.

UX/UI design
With the brand established, attention turned to the platform itself — a complex dual-flow product that needed both structural clarity and a UI to match its technical depth.

Results
- A complete brand identity — logo, brand mark, visual identity system, and guidelines — gives Interviewd a striking, consistent presence built to perform across web, WhatsApp, and Telegram
- A full platform redesign across recruiter and candidate flows replaces a functional but visually inconsistent UI with one that reflects the product's actual technical depth
- A ready-to-develop design system with component states, spacing rules, and interaction specs makes the handoff to engineering clean and complete
- The redesigned product positions Interviewd as a credible, acquisition-ready SaaS platform that can compete for enterprise-level deals
Our approach
Interviewd required us to bridge two very different design problems at once: crafting a brand with enough character to stand out in a crowded SaaS market, and redesigning a complex multi-role platform without losing the functional logic the team had built into it.
{{approach}}
When your branding and positioning are clear, your business shapes perception, builds trust, and drives growth. That said, a strong identity creates an emotional connection with the audience, making you memorable, recognizable, and impossible to ignore.
But without this, the opposite happens. So, no matter your needs, be it launching a new business or refreshing an existing one, investing in branding services ensures you stand out in a crowded market and attract the right audience.

01 · Brand discovery & research
To map the visual landscape of the interview-tech space, we benchmarked 5 competitors. The findings pointed to a clear gap: most platforms leaned generic, leaving room for something more vibrant and distinctive.

Deliverables
- Competitor visual analysis
- Moodboard
02 · Logo & visual identity
From four logo concepts, the team chose a W mark — a double checkmark and raised-hands figure combined. The winning direction pairs this mark with bold type, handwritten accents, and a navy-violet-cyan palette for an energetic, human feel.

Deliverables
- 4 logo concepts
- 2 identity directions
03 · Brand guidelines
The guidelines cover 6 sections: logo, brand mark, color palette, typography, graphic elements and brand in use. Structured as a ready-to-use Figma document, they provide the rules to keep Interviewd consistent across every channel.

Deliverables
- Brand guidelines
01 · UX research & strategy
To surface friction across both user journeys, we audited the existing platform and benchmarked 3 competitors on UX. The findings shaped user flows for every functional area, from interview creation to AI-scored candidate evaluation.

Deliverables
- Competitor UX analysis
- User flows
- 2 design concepts
02 · Wireframing
We wireframed 20+ screens across the recruiter platform — dashboard, interview creation, scoring, statistics and team settings — plus a separate candidate flow. Each passed through a structured feedback cycle before advancing to high-fidelity.

Deliverables
- 20+ wireframes
03 · UI design & design system
High-fidelity screens were produced for both user flows, with the white-label candidate experience treated as its own design track. Delivery included a full design system with component states, spacing rules, and interaction specs for handoff.

Deliverables
- High-fidelity UI screens
- Design system
