About the project

MyReha is a certified digital neurotherapy platform created by nyra health, a healthtech company based in Vienna. By combining medical expertise, neuroscience, and technology, they deliver effective rehabilitation to patients worldwide.

The app is designed for stroke survivors and patients with neurological conditions. It provides personalized therapy plans for cognition, speech, and language, along with clinic dashboards for tracking progress.

Challenge

nyra health needed to improve MyReha's usability for both patients and clinics. Patient flows varied across devices, and clinic dashboards lacked key functions, slowing therapists' work. We were expected to resolve these UX issues within tight timelines, keeping clinical reliability intact.

Our process

Throughout the project, we focused on improving MyReha's accessibility and consistency to ease patient navigation, streamline clinic workflows, and support insurance integration.

Results

  • Enhanced patient flows and navigation across mobile and tablet, improving the overall rehabilitation experience
  • Clinic dashboard redesign enabling faster patient search, streamlined patient management, and better sorting
  • Insurance integration screens that extended the existing design system without breaking consistency
  • Strong design foundation contributing to MyReha's recognition among neurological clinics and patients worldwide

Our approach

We combined research-driven insights with patient-first design decisions to improve usability, preserve medical credibility, and support adoption across clinical and insurance contexts.

01  ·  Discovery & research

We analyzed learning and therapy apps, prioritizing neurological accessibility and patient-friendly gamification. Based on our findings, we identified key engagement patterns across two user segments to shape a focused design direction.

Deliverables

  • Top competitors analyzed
  • 2 user segments defined

02  ·  UX and flow improvements

Our team optimized therapy plan navigation to support patient progress and motivation through streaks, milestones, and weekly goals. Card components were refined for clarity and visual hierarchy, making the therapeutic journey intuitive.

Deliverables

  • 2 onboarding flow options
  • Clear navigation structure
  • Mobile & tablet-ready layouts

03  ·  Clinic dashboard redesign

We improved the clinic dashboard to reduce friction in daily clinical work. Add, discharge, and restore actions were made more visible, while search and sorting filters were added to help staff manage patient lists with ease.

Deliverables

  • 3 design concepts
  • Patient coordination tools
  • Therapist actions prioritized

04  ·  Additional insurance screens

We designed additional screens required for insurance-related workflows, extending the existing design system, and ensured their faster delivery. This allowed us to meet an accelerated timeline without compromising quality or consistency.

Deliverables

  • Insurance screens
  • Medical-appropriate visuals
  • Reusable UI components
