Halo Lab’s web design service for Home Medix medical equipment e-commerce platform

About the project

Home Medix is a healthcare supplier and digital platform specializing in Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Its e-commerce site offers a wide selection of products — from walkers and wheelchairs to nebulizers and oxygen tanks — designed to meet the needs of seniors and patients with mobility or respiratory issues.

Beyond product sales, the platform also provides tools to check insurance coverage, schedule online consultations, and access educational resources. Home Medix combines medical equipment shopping with supportive services to help patients and families navigate care more easily and confidently.

Challenge

Traditional DME purchasing often creates confusion through unclear coverage, limited product clarity, and poor digital experiences. Home Medix needed a modern, senior-friendly e-commerce platform to simplify medical purchasing, provide supportive guidance, and support long-term growth.

Results

Our work for HomeMedix resulted in a modern e-commerce experience tailored to seniors and caregivers, featuring clear navigation and an accessible design. The platform combines a wide product catalogue with supportive tools, such as insurance coverage checks and online consultations, to make it easier for patients to access essential medical equipment. With a scalable design system and reusable components in place, Home Medix now has a strong digital foundation to expand its catalog, introduce new services, and position itself as a trusted, long-term provider in the DME market.

Our approach

The project was delivered through close collaboration between the design team and client, with iterative reviews guiding decisions across the website.
