About the project

OmniBuds is the world’s first ear-worn AI/ML platform for real-time physiological monitoring, born from pioneering research at Bell Labs. The ear’s proximity to major arteries makes it a uniquely powerful sensing point, delivering continuous physiological data with a depth of precision no consumer wearable has reached before.

Powered by advanced biosensors and refined machine learning, it continuously measures five vital signs: heart rate (and heart rate variability), respiration rate, blood oxygen saturation, temperature, and blood pressure. Hypertension and cardiovascular sensing are the primary use cases, with the same intelligence extending into domains most health technologies rarely reach: elite sports performance, military readiness, workplace wellness, sleep research, and broader clinical monitoring — all from a single, unobtrusive device.

Challenge

As OmniBuds evolved from a research prototype into a commercial product, the stakes grew significantly, demanding a brand equal to the ambition and technological depth. The creative-first approach that defined our first collaboration had already proven its worth — they returned to push that further, rebuilding the visual language and claiming their position as a frontrunner in clinical-grade wearables.

Avoiding the clinical aesthetics that dominate medtech, we built a signature visual identity with burgundy, yellow, and terracotta color accents. Lifestyle imagery of everyday earbud wearers balanced innovation with genuine approachability.

03 · Logo design

Guided by the platform's vision of invisible yet profound health awareness, our team crafted a minimalist but evocative logo. We united sound waves, earbud silhouettes, and heartbeat patterns in a single mark to bridge audio and health tracking.
